Motorcycle Fairing Kit Buying Guide 2026

Motorcycle Fairing Kit Buying Guide

Short answer: a complete ABS injection moulded fairing kit for a modern sport bike costs $255 to $1550 for the full set, covers every painted panel on the bike, is a bolt-on replacement for the original bodywork, and ships worldwide from our own mould shop. This page explains exactly what you get, how to check fitment before you pay, and what delivery really looks like — so you can order once and get the right kit.

We mould and paint fairing kits for Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki, Ducati, BMW and Aprilia sport bikes. 5,253 kits are in stock and published on this site today, across 13 of the most requested model families.

1. What a fairing kit actually contains

"Fairing kit" is used loosely online. A complete kit — what we ship — contains:

  • Front upper cowl with the headlight opening and windscreen mounts
  • Left and right side fairings, upper and lower, with the air-duct cut-outs for your model
  • Belly pan / lower cowl
  • Tail section including the seat cowl panels
  • Front fender
  • Tank cover where the model uses a separate cover panel
  • Inner dash and air-duct panels where the model uses them
  • Pre-fitted heat shielding on panels close to the engine, radiator and exhaust
  • Mounting hardware pack

A "half kit" or "side fairing set" sold elsewhere is usually the two side panels only — no tail, no fender, no inner panels. If a listing looks cheap, check what is in the box before comparing prices.

2. What determines the price

Factor Effect on price
Number of panels Single-seat race tails and simplified track kits use fewer panels and cost less; full street bodywork with inner ducts costs more.
Model complexity Winglet-era superbikes (Panigale V4, S1000RR, ZX-10R) need more moulds per kit than a 2000s 600.
Finish Gloss or matte single colour is the base price. Multi-colour schemes, race replicas and carbon-look hydro-dipping add cost.
Kit condition We also sell unpainted kits for riders who want their own painter to match a scheme.

Current range across the models listed below: $255 to $1550 per complete kit.

4. How to check fitment before you pay

Fitment failures almost always come from one of these four mistakes:

  1. Generation, not just model. A 2007 CBR1000RR and a 2008 CBR1000RR are different bodywork. Always match the year range printed in the product title.
  2. Model code. CBR600RR (PC37/PC40) and CBR600F are not the same bike. We print the code in the title for this reason.
  3. Aftermarket subframes and race tails. If the rear subframe, tail or fairing stay has been changed, stock mounting points may not line up. Tell us before ordering.
  4. Colour expectations. Painted kits are painted to a scheme reference, not matched to a 15-year-old faded original. If you need an exact match, ask for the paint code reference first.

Mounting points are moulded to the original pattern: on a stock bike the kit bolts on with no drilling. If you are unsure, message us with a photo of your bike and the VIN — we answer fitment questions before the sale, not after.

5. Material: why ABS injection moulding matters

Injection moulded ABS is the same material and process the OEMs use. It flexes instead of cracking, holds panel gaps because the tool is steel, and takes paint without the pin-holing you get on hand-laid fibreglass. Cheaper kits are compression moulded or fibreglass: heavier, thicker, and prone to stress cracks around mounting points. Every kit on this site is ABS injection moulded.

6. Shipping, duties and lead time

Bodywork is bulky, so kits move as consolidated freight, not as small parcels:

  • Rates are calculated by destination zone (four zones) and shown at checkout before payment.
  • Air express typically lands in 7–15 days; sea freight in 25–45 days.
  • Tracking is issued when the kit leaves the warehouse — we ship from our own facility, so the kit is not drop-shipped from a third party.
  • Duties and tax are the buyer's responsibility and depend on your country's import rules.

7. Payment and returns

Checkout accepts PayPal, credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) and bank transfer. Unused, unfitted kits can be returned within 30 days. Damaged panels are replaced — send photos of the carton and the panel within 7 days of delivery.

8. Ordering the right kit in three steps

  1. Find your model on this page or in the catalogue and confirm the year range in the title.
  2. Pick the finish (single colour, race scheme, carbon-look); ask for a reference image if you need an exact livery.
  3. Check the shipping rate for your country at checkout. If the lead time matters, confirm it on WhatsApp before paying.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a full motorcycle fairing kit cost?

HXLMOTOR sells complete ABS fairing kits from $255 to $1550 per set, depending on the model, the number of panels and the finish. The median complete kit on this site is $599; multi-panel superbike kits with inner ducts and carbon-look or multi-colour finishes sit at the top of the range. Every price on this site is the price of the whole kit, not a single panel.

What is included in a complete fairing kit?

A complete kit covers the painted bodywork of the bike: front upper cowl with the headlight opening, left and right side fairings, lower belly pan, tail section, front fender, tank cover, and the inner air-duct and dash panels where the model uses them. Heat shielding is pre-fitted on the panels that sit close to the engine and exhaust, and the mounting hardware pack is included. Fasteners that are specific to your model year are listed on the product page.

How do I know the kit will fit my motorcycle?

Fitment is defined by three things: model code, model year, and body style. The product title always states the years covered, for example 2008 2009 2010 2011, and the model code, for example CBR1000RR. Mounting points are moulded to match the original bodywork, so the kit is a bolt-on replacement and no drilling is required on a stock bike. If your bike has an aftermarket subframe, race tail or a different generation of the same model, message us with your VIN or a photo before ordering.

Is ABS injection moulded bodywork as good as OEM plastic?

Injection moulded ABS is the same process the original manufacturers use. The material is flexible, it survives low-speed tip-overs better than brittle compression moulded or fibreglass panels, and panel gaps stay consistent because the tool is steel. Compression moulded and fibreglass kits are cheaper to tool but thicker, heavier and less dimensionally stable. Every kit sold here is ABS injection moulded.

How long does delivery take and how is it shipped?

Bodywork is bulky, so kits ship by consolidated air and sea freight rather than small parcels. Shipping is calculated at checkout by destination zone: the rate for your country is shown before you pay. Typical transit is 7 to 15 days by air express and 25 to 45 days by sea, and the tracking number is issued when the kit leaves the warehouse. If you have a race date or a show deadline, message us on WhatsApp and we will confirm the fastest option for your country before you order.

Do you ship to my country?

We ship worldwide and have supplied riders in more than 50 countries, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Australia, Japan and Brazil. Shipping rates are grouped into four destination zones and are shown at checkout once you enter your address.

Can I order a custom colour or a race replica scheme?

Yes. Custom paint, race replica liveries and single-colour schemes are available on most models. Send a reference image on WhatsApp with your model and year and we will quote the scheme, the lead time and any difference in price before you commit.

What happens if a panel arrives damaged?

Kits are crated and double-boxed for export. If a panel arrives damaged, send photos of the outer carton and of the panel within 7 days of delivery and we will replace the affected panel. Returns are accepted within 30 days on unused, unfitted kits.

Do you offer wholesale or dealer pricing?

Yes. We supply trade buyers and workshops with volume pricing on mixed model assortments. Email hxlmotor@hotmail.com with the models and quantities you need and we will send a wholesale quotation.
